Jeanette Laskey, LMT Myofascial Therapist Expert Level
Where it all began
I signed up for MFR in May 2012, two classes. I thought, “This guy, He’s a founding father in the alternative therapy world. Maybe I can learn some insight from a physical therapist.
I was tired of doing the same thing over and over. Pushed to sell, promote in a company that was about to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. It was against everything I wanted in my career of being a massage therapist. I had left building my own business because of a couple of mistakes. Big mistakes. And I told myself, “Never again. I failed that way. I’ll stay away from running a business. Show up, do the work and receive a check.”
Again. Completely against who I am. I wasn’t a lemming. Show up and do the same simple thing over and over to earn the paycheck. I was bigger than that. I think differently. I see differently. Read more. my MFR Journey
Going back a little further…
Helping people heal has been a passion for me since childhood when I accompanied my father to physical therapy after he experienced a dangerous fall. He was in a wheelchair and I witnessed the struggles of him learning to walk again. I also experienced severe sciatic pain from an injury sustained while dancing in my teenage years. This injury taught me the importance of postural balance through physical therapy and massage. At that point, I wanted to become a therapist to help people overcome their pain. I began massage classes at the age of 19 and began working in several different settings. My experiences in sports facilities, chiropractic offices and spas bring knowledge and experience that you will feel behind my hands. I have a fascination for learning about the body and adding to my “toolbox” of techniques including …
Neuromuscular therapy
Orthopedic Sports Massage
Thai on The Table
Reflexology
Hot stones

When I began training in the Myofascial Release Approach in 2012, it gave me a new understanding of the functional, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of working with people and their traumas. As a Myofascial Therapist, I am your tool, a guide for self-healing; a help for you to listen to the subtle clues that contribute to the pain, dysfunction, and fatigue. I look forward to partnering with you to heal, body, mind, and spirit.
